No military markings. 49 inches overall length, 33 inch barrel, bore .62 calibre. Action marking visible in photos. Barrel marking is harder to see and marked Edge, Manchester, Edge's Patent No. 10. Wood is VG no cracks, metal has lots of wear, perhaps 30% finish remaining. Hammer spring is strong and bore looks VG. US Government purchased a number of these in 1861 for use in the Civil War. Reportedly used by both sides, but primarily the North. This is the same arm as the German Potsdam musket.
