  1. BA579 Dutch M1895 Rifle Bayonet

    Dutch M1895 Rifle Bayonet
Dutch Model 1895 bayonet shortened to a blade length of 250mm (9 7/8 inch). Scabbard shortened also. This may be a Seitengewehr 102 rifle bayonet shorted by order after Germany occupied The Netherlands in 1940. Specifications called for the blade and scabbard to be shortened to 280mm and called the M1895 rifle bayonet for the Mannlicher rifle. The Germans called it the Seitengewehr 102 (h). Although the blade length is not exactly 280mm it is carefully repointed and the scabbard shortened and modified to refit the bayonet.
