    Often referred to as a cut down Pattern 1907 this bayonet was in fact Indian made with 12 inch unfullered blade and characteristic clip point false edge. Nicely marked GRI over Mk II with RFI maker initials and dated April 1941 (4-41). Opposite has Indian proofs. Blade retains 95% plus original blue. No scabbard.

    Matsushita Kinzoku maker mark on ricasso (Matsushita Metalworking Company, the forerunner of Panasonic Corporation). This was a high quality bayonet maker throughout the war. The simplified processes of late war substitute standard bayonets is obvious on this bayonet with simple rectangular pommel, riveted grip panels, crudely finished blade with grinding marks evident and straight crossguard. Steel scabbard with ball tip. Very good original condition overall.

Simple rectangular pommel, riveted grip panels, crudely finished blade with grinding marks evident and straight crossguard. Later pattern steel scabbard with tubular tip instead of ball. Very good original condition overall.
