  6. BA1508 Ross Rifle bayonet Model 1910 unmarked

Ross Rifle bayonet Model 1910 unmarked
Very nice Ross Model 1910 bayonet with minor grinding to the blade to the Mk II configuration. Original 1916 dated leather scabbard. This bayonet is unmarked which makes it very unusual. The width of the pommel has been compared with a marked bayonet using a micrometer and there is no significant difference in width, suggesting that the stampings were not merely ground off but were never applied.

Early Mauser bayonet produced between 1903 and 1908 by Japan for us on the Siamese Mauser Type 45 rifle. Japanese influence is evident in the oval grip fastening screws similar to those used on the Japanese Type 30 (Arisaka) bayonets. Characters on the ricasso represent R.S. 121 which corresponds to the year 1903 on the Western calendar. Original, very interesting Mauser bayonet variant and in VG condition. 13. BA906 Siamese P1907 bayonet scabbard

    Siamese P1907 bayonet scabbard
Steel scabbard only, for the Siamese "Wild Tiger Corps" bayonets. Very researchable. These all steel scabbards were Siamese manufactured to replace the leather scabbards which quickly rotted away on the Siamese Type 62 (1919) bayonets. The scabbard is crudely folded steel, brazed to the original steel mounts. Very uncommon and the only correct scabbard for this bayonet.
