Deactivated BAR which is a reweld from the classic Canadian torch cut deactivation of the early 1960’s. Yes, Canada used Browning Automatic Rifles. The receiver alloy is classified and does not weld nicely so the welding seams always show. This specimen is no different and the metal parts have been painted a textured matte black evident in the photos. Royal Typewriter manufacture mostly visible on top of receiver. Missing flash hider spring washer. The deactivation process renders this item with no moving parts. Bolt does not move, magazine is not removable. No licence required to purchase or own.
