C Mk 1 Canadian Sniper Observer’s Telescope by REL

Telescope, Observing, Sniper’s, C Mark I. It is a single draw, 25 power sniper observer's telescope invented and manufactured by Research Enterprises Limited (R.E.L.) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1944 and 1945. It was intended for the military market as a replacement for the traditional British 3 draw observer's telescopes. After only about 500 produced the Brits announced that they were not interested in purchasing so production ended. Original in carrying case. Optics are excellent, as is overall condition. Comes with REL instrument stand, nicely marked but has some issues. Missing one of the cradle arms and two of the lower leg sections as shown in photo.
