Ross Rifle Bayonet PAL fighting knife

Bayonet for Canadian WW One Ross Model 1910 rifle converted to fighting knife. The Canadian government sent several thousand surplus Ross Rifle bayonets to PAL Tool and Cutlery Ltd in the USA via a Montreal broker to be converted from bayonets to fighting/hunting knives. This was done about 1942. Tool steel was reserved only for military use so cutlery of any kind was not obtainable.
