Fairbairn Sykes Fighting Knife 3rd Pattern Description
Original WWII fighting knife, Third Pattern, ENGLAND marked on crossguard, no broad arrow. Domed brass pommel nut. Taper ground drop forged blade has original bluing and has been sharpened in service. Clearly used in the field as the tip has been broken off and reground so that overall blade length is 5 ½ inches. Scabbard chape is attached with brass staple and frog sewn on and reinforced with wire. Frog does not have elastic retaining strap.
