French Percussion Fuze 24/31

Very interesting and advanced percussion fuze system developed in the late 19th century circa 1899 and used through WWI and later. Referred to as the Systeme Robin percussion fuze it was used on most of the high explosive projectiles of various calibres and fitted to each using specific threaded rings that adapt to the different size fuze holes in the shell. Used on 75mm 1897 field gun to 155mm guns and mortars. This specimen has most of the original working parts and disassembles completely. Empty and inert, excellent condition and very researchable. An early and very uncommon fuze.
