Details
Large banner 61 inches (5 feet) x 116 inches (10 feet). Very good condition, bright colours, Swastika is clean and square on the flag. One corner has tear. Rear edge has a hemp rope fastened for haning. Although it does not show up well in the photos, each trailing corner has a re-inforcement strip sewn on that is a slightly darker red than the fabric of the banner. This banner was liberated in 1945 by Lance Bombadier J.R.Williams 23rd Special Field Battery, 4th Canadian Armoured Division as it hung from a school in Germany. There is no written provenance stating this so take it for what it's worth and research the trail of that Field Battery in the closing days of WWII to substantiate the story. Sold for collection only.
