Un-dated cyq (Spreewerk) WWII production. Many of these pistols do not have the usual Waffenamt Eagle over 88 proof marks as the Russians were advancing into Czechoslovakia at this point in the war so the indication of acceptance is the letter “U” following the serial number. This specimen has the 88 Waffenamt on the right side of the slide as well as the U letter. All matching numbers. Original finish. Bore is very good plus. Magazine has Waffenamt 135 stampMore...$1,295.00Walther PPK Engraved
This pistol was made in 1940 based on the serial number range and was a private purchase piece. Smooth finish and with the Walther script on the Bakelite grip. There is a monogram inlay on the frame beneath the barrel KHW , and one of the animal inlays appears to be the Luftwaffe Eagle, so we researched German Ace Pilots in the post 1940/41 time period and found a fighter ace named Karl-Wilhelm Hofmann who was with JG2 Richtofen. JG2 had unit symbols including an owl and gryphon, which appear to also be inlays on this pistol. That is about as close as we can get to identifying this pistol and its owner. It may be a privately engraved item or a Walther custom shop item but Walther has no records surviving from WWII to help with the identification. This is an operational pistol and prohibited status in Can'tada. Canadians must have 12(6) licencing to own this. We will co-operate with the tedious process to legally export this item to any country with more reasonable firearms laws.More...$4,750.00WANTED....Luger Pistols
