Long Branch rifle is dated 1944 and is in the correct 74L03XX range with matching bolt. Barrel is Long Branch dated 1945 with excellent bore. Butt has been replaced with a “long” butt, not numbered. Lyman Alaskan 2.5 power scope is correct number for the Canadian contract. Optics are crystal clear with command post reticle. Supplied as rifle with scope only. There is no transit box for the rifle or carrying case for the scope. The Alaskan scope was introduced as an interim measure because REL production of the No. 32 scope could not keep up with demand. The Griffin and Howe style mount is correct with Long Branch marks. Approximately 350 of this pattern were produced, but few have survived.
