British No. 34 egg grenade Description
Developed by the British in WWI as an alternative fragmentation grenade to the German egg grenade. Smaller in size than the more recognizable Mills Bomb this grenade had maximum throwing range and was developed in 5 different types or "Marks". This one is clearly marked No. 34 II, indicating a Mark II. Maker marked, complete, original, empty and inert.
