Japanese M30/32 (Type 90) helmet

Main helmet of Japanese prior to and during WWII. Helmets were usually painted khaki or a reddish brown ochre colour and this helmet still has that paint on the interior. The exterior has been repainted green and the metal army star insignia also repainted bright yellow. The interior of the helmet is remarkably original with proper paint and 3 pad liner fastened to leather band. The leather is pig skin type commonly used. The fabric chinstrap rings are present but the chinstrap has not survived.
