Japanese Arisaka Type 30 bayonet late war production
Matsushita Kinzoku maker mark on ricasso (Matsushita Metalworking Company, the forerunner of Panasonic Corporation). This was a high quality bayonet maker throughout the war. The simplified processes of late war substitute standard bayonets is obvious on this bayonet with simple rectangular pommel, riveted grip panels, crudely finished blade with grinding marks evident and straight crossguard. Steel scabbard with ball tip. Very good original condition overall.

The Type 99 could be used as a hand grenade or as a rifle grenade with the very unique Type 100 grenade launcher mounted to a rifle. Empty and inert.
