Finnish Mosin Nagant 1891 RARE Belgian barrel
Finnish Model 1891 which has been re-barreled with a Belgian steel barrel, hence the "B" marking on the barrel at the receiver. There are a couple of theories about the Belgian supplied barrels: 1- It is a Belgian made barrel supplied by Germany as war aid of which only 2000 were 1891 barrels and all are dated 1942 (like the one on this rifle). 2. It is made from a Belgian barrel blank which Finland ordered in 1939. These blanks were also used on the M39 rifles. This rifle is deactivated and we didn't do it! The bolt is welded solidly into the rifle and the barrel is plugged up to within 1/2 inch of the muzzle.

  46. NR4657 US M1 Garand Rifle - Lend Lease Rifle

US M1 Garand Rifle - Lend Lease Rifle
This January 1942 "Lend Lease" Springfield M1 is a snap shot in time. Lend Lease rifles were technically "withdrawn from US service and as a result often have most of their original early parts. Another benefit is the Brits did not have 30-06 ammo so they were not burning out barrels and replacing them. This rifle has its original January 1942 barrel in excellent condition as well as the very desirable and valuable rear sight system intact and about 3 generations older than the late WW2 configuration. The forged grooved hand guard clip is extremely rare. This rifle has its original operating components and was professionally refinished to as new condition. The stock set was replaced with a select Boyd walnut stock. This rifle is stunning and is one of the nicest Garands we have ever seen.
