    Offered is a blank case with an official adapter for a 12 gauge shotgun shell to be used as the primer. This item is officially made to military specifications and the number C128 on the base of the adapter is a reference to that specification. The 12 pdr gun was a common and versatile artillery piece being 3 inch (76mm) and was used on ships and for coastal defence until the end of WW2.

    Interesting and very researchable. The first British aerial bomb of World War One designed by the RNAS (Royal Naval Air Service) early in the war then shared with the RFC in 1915 and used until 1918. This specimen consists of the body and tail section with propeller rotor. Missing tail fins. Also mssing bomb nose piece which could be either a solid cap or fuze screwed into place. Empty and inert, extremely rare.
