    47mm diameter x 141mm length, fired projectile. No visible markings. The 3 pdr was a pre WWI round used primarily on naval vessels. Combat use on larger ships was curtailed early in WWI but the guns remained in service on smaller vessels and even as a tank gun (Australia) post WWI. A very uncommon projectile.

    40mm Bofors L/70 M851 Dummy Round
    40mm Bofors L/70, M851, dummy round. Inert. This DUMMY round was used with the Sergeant York self propelled anti-aircraft gun for loading test and training. The Bofors L70 round is longer than the L/60 and the case does not have a groove just above the rim. The case is brass and has a length of 14 6/16 inches, no primer. The projectile is made of resin with a solid steel tip and is securely attached by way of section of steel rod that runs from the simulated resin projectile to deep into the brass L70 case.
