    Original and complete with Mark 1 machined rear sight and re-numbered with SKN serial number. This specimen has early round, button shiaped cocking piece. Cut away instructional rifle done by British Ministry of Defence. No. 4 Mk 1 rifle cut down with areas cut-away as in photograph for instruction of students and armourers. Although there was a general pattern for cutting away, each specimen is slightly different. Canadian Firearms Center has deemed this to be a firearm (FRT 120829-1) so a valid firearms licence is required to purchase.

    Mannlicher Berthier Turkish Mountain Carbine
    Very uncommon firearm started life as a full stocked Mannlicher Berthier 1907 carbine manufactured under contract by Establisments Continsuza , converted to M16 Lebel Berthier carbine and finally ended up in the ownership of the Turkish Mountain Troops. Receiver marked N over T.C. (Republic of Turkey), Orman 1948. Barrel length 22 inches and overall 41 5/8 inches. Calibre 8 x 50.5R (8mm Lebel). Original unrestored condition. No two parts match in number, not uncommon given the alterations. Bore poor. Sling looks original but repaired using cord.
