Ross Rifle Bayonet Model 1910 Mk II

Original condition Ross 1910 bayonet modified in August 1916 (8/16) to the Mk II blade shape by grinding to a spear-like point, that work being done in at field depots and almost no two Mk II blades have the same grinding shape for that reason. Very good condition bayonet and blade. Grip is numbered on wood. Pommel is marked with M.S.P. over 111. This is thought to be an early war military district marking indicating Manitoba Saskatchewan Provinces, with the number 111 being a bayonet number or rack number. Scabbard is dark leather in VG condition, dated 1911.
