Winchester 1897 Trench Shotgun with Ford Logo Buttplate
$2,495.00One of the most unusual items we have ever listed. The shotgun is a commercial Winchester Model 1897 takedown model refitted as a Trench Shotgun for security use. The receiver is not US marked. The butt is C broad arrow stamped and the buttplate is cast with the FORD motors logo and professionally fitted. In our opinion this is a one of a kind private purchase firearm used by guards at the Ford Motors plant in Windsor, Ontario that produced military vehicles during WWII. VG+ overall condition. Note the forward mounting of the barrel shroud to permit the take down function, but it still does not provide enough clearance for the takedown to work.
