US VB grenade launcher carrying pouch RIA 3-20

Late in WWI US troops used a French grenade launcher that attached to the Springfield 1903 rifle and projected the grenade using a blank cartridge. This weapon surfaced again early in WW2 being used by US Marines in the Pacific. During the interwar period this khaki canvas carrier was produced by Rock Island Arsenal (RIA) to carry the launcher. Original RIA 3-20 marked (March 1920), one spot of minor fraying on flap, some oil staining on pouch. Lift the dot fastener. Pouch only, no contents. Interesting WWI/WWII US artifact.
