    Original, marked J. Sch (Jetter und Scheerer) and dated 1938. Scabbard is asw 41, in very good condition but not matching the bayonet. Blade is very good. Minor tapping marks on the pommel. Crossguard and ricasso show signs of a combination of minor corrosion and powder buildup indicative of firing the rifle with the bayonet attached.

    German Army Dress Bayonet, NCO use with plated blade and pommel. Has high quality stag horn grip. Logo on ricasso of spiked helmet and armoured breastplate indicates maker is WKC of Solingen- Stahl, an uncommon maker. Plated blade in VG condition, some plating flaking of plating evident at pommel. Scabbard has much original paint and is covered in hardened grease.

    Original RAD hewer in very good condition. Grips in excellent condition as is scabbard with much original paint and no dents to the body or fittings. Blade has some marks from drawing from scabbard and a couple of small spots of corrosion on the blade. RAD hewer blades commonly have blemishes from use so that is not unusual. This blade is equal to or better than most. Clearly maker marked and a fine example of this difficult to find dress blade.

    Original officer's dagger from the RAD (Reich's Labour Service). Lighter verison of the enlisted mans heavy hewer this model has an aluminum hilt with bird head pommel and smooth plastic grip. The RAD symbol is on one side of the crossguard. Blade is original very good condition with minor staining near the tip and maker marked WMW Waffen. Aluminum on grip and scabbard shows some oxidation, plastic grip has minor crack. Priced accordingly and a great entry level piece for new collector.

  14. BA1541 German S 24(t) Czechoslovakian VZ-24 made under occupation

    German S 24(t) Czechoslovakian VZ-24 made under occupation
    The S 24(t) bayonet was made at Waffenfabrik Brünn Werke (formerly the Československá zbrojovka a.s., Brno plant) in 1942/1943. Ricasso is marked dot, the letter code for that arms factory and so is the scabbard. There are no Czech markings on this bayonet or scabbard. Approximately 137,000 bayonets were manufactured at Waffenfabrik Brünn Werke during 1942/1943 after which production changed to the Kar 98k rifle and bayonet. A rare item. Condition is original, very good with rust patina to pommel and crossguard. Blade is very good but severely sharpened on one side most likely during the war period. Clearly marked dot on ricasso with Waffenamt acceptance stamp on pommel Eagle over 63. Scabbard also marked dot and dated 1942 (dot 42) with some rust patina on back side. Original leather bayonet frog.

    German World War One DEMAG knife bayonet
    Original German WWI trench knife and bayonet. Called a DEMAG or crank handle knife by collectors. Marked DEMAG / DUISBURG in a circle on the ricasso for Deutsche Mascheinenfabrak AG of Duisburg. Opposite side has “gesetzlich geschützt” which means the design is protected by law, an early marking later abbreviated to D.R.G.M. Handle is ersatz riveted steel with traces of original green paint remaining. Missing bayonet catch. One end of crossguard is missing and leather belt loop has also not survived.

    Gladius pattern sawback sidearm
    Straight double-edged blade with sawback. Ribbed solid brass hilt with cross guard and oval pommel. Scabbard of black leather-covered wood with brass fittings at throat and chape. No maker name but small mark or logo shown in photo. The “Gladius” pattern is a unique sidearm configuration started by the French in the late 1700s and resurrected by the Russians and Swiss in mid 1800 as a Pioneer’s tool but eventually became more dress or ceremonial in nature. Blade length 19 5/8 inches (498mm), overall length 25 3/8 inches (644mm). Very good condition and unusual to find this item with a scabbard.

    Imperial German Model 1884/98 Sawback bayonet
    Second model M1884/98 with a flash guard and new pommel shape. Ricasso marked Gottlieb Hammesfahr Solingen Foche with a pyramid and cross logo, an uncommon maker with a very elaborate trademark. Spine of blade has inspection mark but no royal cypher or date. Original and very good condition overall. Scabbard is later manufacture, probably an era field replacement, manufactured by Gerbruder Heller in 1934 (S178K)..
