    H&K designed the G3 as a German battle rifle in 7.62 NATO calibre in the 1950's. Manufactured under licence by FMP in Portugal, the G3 known in Portugal as the Espingarda m/961, this rifle has seen action in conflicts from the Portuguese Colonial War to deployments in Kosovo, East Timor and Afghanistan. This specimen possibly sold to Rhodesia as indicated by the RA prefix to the serial number = Rhodesian Army. Deactivated. The deactivation process renders this item with no moving parts.
