Yugoslavian (Serbian) Fireman’s Helmet

This type of fireman’s helmet is from former Social Federative Republic of Yugoslavia, not only Serbia. They were used by fire departments throughout the country until the late 1980s including today's Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Macedonia. Quite likely they were also used by neighbouring countries. Helmet does not have badge but a fireman’s provincial breast badge is tied to the helmet at the front badge mounting holes. Interior has a felt lining or flocked finish. Leather chinstrap is present but fragile.
